WHAT IS NAME ?

The National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts was founded in 1972 to promote the craft of miniature making through the association and friendship of its artisans, craftsmen and collectors. NAME is an educational, non-profit organization dedicated to the miniature collector and builder through sharing ideas and experiences among its members. NAME's goal is to link people of like minds in order to share our love of the hobby that captivates us.

WHAT IS IGMA ?

The objectives of The Guild are 1) to promote miniatures as an art form 2) to increase awareness and appreciation of high-quality workmanship through public education 3) to recognize and honor qualified artisans and encourage work of highest quality 4) to encourage the development of new artisans and 5) to coordinate and serve the interests and needs of the artisan and non-artisan.

The Guild is a mixture of miniaturists, both collectors and artisans, who have much in common...an appreciation of fine miniatures. IGMA is an organization which unites them both!

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT IS MIAA ?

The Miniatures Industry Association of America, established in 1979, is an international, non-profit organization, whose purpose is to promote the common interest of the miniatures industry. This includes providing convenient trade markets and education for better retailing--and also includes promoting and encouraging miniatures collecting, increasing public awareness of the industry. Approximately 400 companies strong, its diverse active membership incorporates representatives from all segments of the industry

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT IS CIMTA ?

The Cottage Industry Miniaturists Trade Association, Inc., consisting of over 240 professional handcrafters, is a not-for-profit organization whose regular members are "cottage industries," that is, small businesses operated by an individual or group of individuals.

CIMTA Inc.'s goal is to present programs that deal with the unique problems facing the handcrafter of miniatures within the miniatures industry. Through the use of trade shows and other supporting member activities
, CIMTA hopes to grow and maintain a healthy miniatures industry.

WHAT IS THE HOBBY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION ?

Established in 1940, the Hobby Industry Association serves the interests of over 4,000 member companies engaged in the manufacturing and merchandising of craft and hobby products. Representing every segment of the craft and hobby industry, members manufacture, distribute, design and sell craft and hobby products and allied supplies. Every year, generally in January, the largest craft and hobby association holds its annual trade show, the largest craft and hobby supply exposition in the world. HIA's purpose is best summarized by its mission, "To facilitate the sales growth of the craft and hobby industry."

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT IS SMALL STUFF ?

Small Stuff miniature digest, a free online source for chat, tips, projects and friendship, is where a love for miniatures is shared among new Internet friends from around the world! Small Stuff started December 1999 and (as of June, 2002) it has over 3,000 subscribers!

The Small Stuff daily email newsletter digest is free. It contains tips, hints, resources and encouragement for creating and collecting dollhouse miniatures with others.
